It’s time for the 2020 UFO Challenge!

The purpose of this challenge is to encourage you to get your unfinished projects done.

What is a UFO?  For this challenge we are defining them as quilting projects that have had at least some cutting done and were started before January 1, 2020.  They may be any where from barely started all the way to almost bound.

This challenge has two parts.

The first part is to encourage you to complete a significant amount on a major project.  I will have a UFO Folder at the January meeting where you will write the name of the project and what needs to be done on it.  The deadline to finish is the September regular meeting.  All of those who complete this project will have their put into a drawing for a $25 prize.

The second part is to encourage you to finish any other UFOs you have, whatever the size of the project or amount left to complete.  You will need to list all your UFOs on an 8 ½ by 11 inch sheet of paper.  Make a copy to keep for your records.  The papers will be placed in the UFO Folder where I will tally finishes as the year goes by.  You will need to tell me when a project you show is on the list.  At the December Christmas party, your name will go into the drawing for one of two $25 cash prizes for each UFO you finish that is on your list.  For example, 5 finishes means your name goes in 5 times.

The deadline to sign the folder and turn in your list is the regular March meeting.

Any questions?  Don’t hesitate to ask!
